Remove a drop or spot

Take a drop or a spot back off the map, and what a permanent delete takes with it.

TraceReach Drop plays this walkthrough on the live app, pointing at one control at a time and waiting for the press. Read its steps here first, in the app's own words, on any phone or laptop.

  1. 01

    Two ways off the map

Removing a drop keeps its record: you say what happened to the piece, and your hub can put it back. Deleting a drop keeps nothing and takes its photo with it.

  2. 02

    Open a drop's card

Tap Drops at the bottom of the map for a list of what's here, then tap one to open its card. Its buttons sit under the photo.

  3. 03

    Say what happened

Remove on a drop's card asks what happened to the piece and lists your hub's answers. Pick one and the drop leaves the map carrying it, so your hub reads why it went instead of guessing.

  4. 04

    Delete permanently

The last entry on that list deletes the drop for good and purges its photo, after asking once more. Keep it for a drop you filed by mistake, because nobody can bring one back.

  5. 05

    Removing a spot

A Spot's card carries Remove spot, and that one is permanent from the first tap. Drops you logged there stay on the map with the Spot's name off them, and the confirm tells you how many.

  6. 06

    A drop that never uploaded

A failed drop sits on your phone and never reached the map. Tap the queue pill: Dismiss failed clears the ones that can never save, and Retry failed gives the rest another run.

  7. 07

    Removing done

Remove keeps a drop's record so your hub can restore it, delete permanently keeps nothing, and a Spot's Remove is permanent from the first tap.

Play it in Drop

Open TraceReach Drop, tap Help in the bottom corner of the camera or the map, then pick Remove a drop or spot.

Help has what the words on your screen mean, and the guides for running a hub.
